AIRCRAFT EXAMINER (PROGRESSMAN)
What you'd do
You will serve as a AIRCRAFT EXAMINER (PROGRESSMAN) in the MRO Production Department, Prod Lines Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Major duties
You will coordinate manpower requirements in accordance with production priorities. You will report detailed statuses of specific jobs to supervisor, production line manager, and/or deputy Integrated Product Team lead on a regular basis. You will coordinate movement of materials and work through various phases. You will maintain follow up records and prepare reports. You will arrange for delivery to shops of materials, special tools, equipment, and technical information in advance of shop needs.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THEPOSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION. 1.) Journey-level trades knowledge and skill as an Aircraft Examiner, applying substantive knowledge of airframe structural, aircraft mechanical, pneudraulic, hydraulic, and /or electrical systems and their interrelationships. 2.) Strong quality assurance background or inspection skills is desirable to ensure work progress is properly evaluated and provided at update/production meetings. 3.) Takes necessary action to reschedule jobs affected by schedule changes, and to ensure materials and tooling are available to accomplish the work. 4.) Coordinates check-off lists and integrates details within the schedule to establish process times. 5.) Maintains follow-up records and prepares reports.
