Major duties
You will serve as a Travel Assistant in the Comptroller Department of Fleet Readiness Center East. Performs as the travel voucher reviewer, monitors payments and local travel in accordance with regulations. Provides guidance and training to travelers on preparation of official travel documents to include official travel reservations (e.g., transportation and lodging), estimated travel expenses and costs, trip authorizations, scheduling partial payments. Prepares and works various voucher reports. Reports travel issues such as suspected fraud, waste and abuse to the appropriate authority.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lowest grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Grade level will be determined based on your level of experience in the following areas: Interacts effectively with personnel at all levels to communicate complex information and resolve escalated issues while providing excellent customer service; Proficiency in using office software (specifically Microsoft Excel) and navigating web-based online platforms (e.g., DTS, data portals, Citibank) to track and manage operations; Ability to analyze data and requests in accordance with established policy to provide compliant solutions, while prioritizing tasks and shifting priorities with strict attention to detail; Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
