What you'd do

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as the United States Army Medical Command subject matter expert for all technical and functional issues related to the Centralized Credentialing Quality Assurance System, in support of the Medical Force. Position is located at Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Major duties

Safeguards electronic practitioner credentials files. Designs, develops and implements a corporate database, maintaining a standard data dictionary consistent with Army Information Management Center conventions. Advises and assists credentials managers and supervisors throughout the entire Medical Force on all issues related to the electronic credential file. Plans, directs, and coordinates administrative and organizational aspects of the activity. Serves as the technical/clinical expert for provider adverse action and adverse event management for Health Risk Management.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes progressively responsible analytical or administrative, or clinical management or supervisory experience in the health care field. This work may have been performed in an operating health care facility or a higher organizational echelon with advisory or directional authority over such facilities. Work must have involved a close working relationship with facility managers and analysis and/or coordination of administrative, clinical, or other service activities, and provided knowledge of the following: - Missions, organizations, programs, and requirements of health care delivery systems. - Regulations and standards of various regulatory and credentialing groups. - Government-wide, agency, and facility systems and requirements in various administrative areas such as budget, personnel, and procurement. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above).
