Custodial Worker (Motor Vehicle Operator)

Major duties
At the full performance level (WG-05) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Clean restrooms, housing, dorm areas, offices, visitor centers, and workshops. Monitor supply inventories and coordinate with supervisor to replenish supplies. Serve as a backup to the supervisor in purchasing supplies and services to support a custodial operation. Assist supervisor in the hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees. Perform minor maintenance, repairs, and service to gas powered blowers and sprayers. Enforce safety standards for front country and backcountry operations. Lead other employees to ensure standards of service are maintained.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) Work Practices (Including Keeping Things Neat, Clean, and in Order) Dexterity and Safety Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Other Than Blueprint Reading) Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Your resume must clearly show that you are able to perform custodial services and motor vehicle operations under normal supervision such as: Perform, on personal level, Custodial Worker tasks such as using a broom, mop and vacuum, cleaned bathrooms and toilet bowls. Operated motor vehicles under limited traffic conditions and low speeds to transport materials/supplies, loading and unloading cargo, and performing routine operator maintenance of vehicles operated.
