What you'd do

You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Corporate Operations Department (10, Security Division (105), Security Policy & Programs (1051) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The NT-05 pay band is equivalent to the GS-13/14. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $138,370).

Major duties

You will serve as Information Security (INFOSEC) Program Manager to oversee and coordinate the organization's information security program. You will oversee all levels of classified information and Controlled Unclassified Information. You will be responsible for ensuring rules and regulations for marking, classifying, declassifying, storage, transportation, transmission of classified material are followed, understood, and known throughout the command. You will assist with development and implementation of security policies, procedures,, and protocols to safeguard data assets and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. You will conduct risk assessments, manage security incidents, and continually evaluate and enhance command security posture. You will collaborate with stakeholders across departments to promote security awareness and resilience. You will stay current with emerging threats and technologies, drive innovation in security solutions, and provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on INFOSEC matters.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: administering or coordinating information security programs to develop and implement policies, procedures or protocols for ensuring security compliance and protective measures for an organization.
