Major duties
You will be responsible for planning and executing complex analyses in order to support the assessment of explosive ordnance disposal tools and technologies. You will prepare technical and programmatic plans for EOD technology assessment projects. You will independently plan and conduct testing and research on EOD equipment to determine the equipment's capabilities and limitations, including if it should be rejected or accepted, reworked, or if it can be improved. You will be responsible for planning and execution of scientific projects to include supporting test and evaluation of EOD equipment. You will represent the command at various government and private industry meetings, symposiums, and conferences.
What you need to qualify
TO QUALIFY FOR ND-04: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 (GS-09/11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional scientist planning and executing complex analyses in order to support the assessment of explosive ordnance disposal tools and technologies with little to no oversight by preparing technical and programmatic plans for EOD technology assessment projects; independently plan and conduct testing and research on EOD equipment to determine the equipment's capabilities and limitations. TO QUALIFY FOR ND-03: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-02 (GS-05 through 08 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector planning and executing analyses in order to support the assessment of explosive ordnance disposal tools and technologies by drafting technical and programmatic plans for EOD technology assessment projects; conduct testing and research on EOD equipment to determine the equipment's capabilities and limitations.
