LIBRARY TECHNICIAN
What you'd do
You will serve as a LIBRARY TECHNICIAN in the Executive Support (Code 1100) and Information Services Division (Code 1140) of PSNS and IMF.
Major duties
You will provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers promptly professionally, and courteously. You will work in a manner that supports proper handling of unclassified and classified material, including Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPI). You will create and maintain file plans, labeling file folders, drawers and cabinets properly; and maintaining required disposition records. You will track and recall for update, and maintain regular status of checked out and overdue material to ensure it is kept current and valid for ship work.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: serving as a subject matter expert on library technical data systems and operations to analyze and improve library processes, such as evaluating operational metrics, developing desk guides, and mentoring team members on records management and database management of technical drawings, manuals, or naval messages.
