Learn all about hiring paths here: USAJOBS Help Center - Unique Hiring Paths As a Lead CUE (AMAC Program Officer), you are responsible for managing and leading team goals and objectives and assisting the team in organizing and accomplishing work and will: Examine policies, procedures, and financial statements of financial institutions being liquidated and the liquidation procedures used. Participate in management meetings as requested to advise management on progress with internal control programs, evaluation of audit findings, program or policy work in process, and any projects assigned to the team. Analyze, interpret, and evaluate the current practices and procedures on non-routine programs in credit unions being liquidated and develop policies and procedures to terminate non-routine programs while closing out the affairs of insured credit unions. Consult on data analysis requests to conceptualize and define data modeling requirements, and work with large and complex data systems to organize, aggregate, prepare and validate data for use in reporting, financial analysis, business applications, and policy research. Support the integration and optimization of systems utilized in AMAC operations which includes monitoring system performance, coordinating with IT specialists to resolve technical issues, and ensuring that all software platforms support the agency's goals efficiently.

What you need to qualify

Specialized experience is the experience that has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To qualify at the CU-13 level, you must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-12 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience must include experience: (1) auditing, examining or liquidating complex financial institutions. Complex financial institutions is defined as financial institutions or federally insured depository institutions with CAMELS rating of 3, 4, or 5; those in danger of failure; or those that have failed due to deteriorating financial conditions; AND at least two of the following activities: (2) preparing policies, procedures, or operational guidance for a company or agency's accounting and/or financial management system; (3) conducting internal control reviews to determine risk exposure; (4) implementing technology-based solutions to automate manual reports and processes; or (5) converting raw data sets into visual and written reports. To qualify at the CU-14 level, you must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-13 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience must include experience: (1) auditing, examining or liquidating complex financial institutions. Complex financial institutions is defined as financial institutions or federally insured depository institutions with CAMELS rating of 3, 4, or 5; those in danger of failure; or those that have failed due to deteriorating financial conditions; AND (2) leading a team or working group in organizing and accomplishing work. AND at least three of the following activities: (3) preparing policies, procedures, or operational guidance for a company or agency's accounting and/or financial management system; (4) conducting internal control reviews to determine risk exposure; (5) implementing technology-based solutions to automate manual reports and processes; (6) converting raw data sets into visual and written reports.
