Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. Major duties

Provide overall direction, administrative management, and coordination for the NPSP and staff. Oversee establishment and maintenance of policies and procedures, quality assurance, data collection and analysis, marketing and staff training for new parent educational and support programs that foster skill development, aid in the prevention of child abuse, and promote good mental health. Oversee development of parent education programs to: foster skill development in promoting positive parent-child attachment behavior, aid in prevention of child abuse, promote good mental health, and enhance strengths that individual (s) and families bring to the parenting role. Oversee supportive services provided via home visits and in a classroom setting designed to provide psychological and educational support to new parents to include education in pre-natal referral and support services, positive parenting skills, promoting a healthy pregnancy, promoting positive parent-child attachment behaviors, recognizing newborn infant cues/behaviors, and promoting effective couples communication to promote healthy relationships and prevent family violence. Oversee assessments of families receiving services and collaborate with related agencies to offer appropriate and necessary early intervention services to families at risk. Maintain extensive contact with other program managers, staff, and officials of other related agencies and organizations to: resolve problems, negotiate agreements, advise on and render technical assistance in areas such as changes or improvements in program objectives, utilizing facilities and staff, redirecting programs to provide more efficient and effective service, avoiding duplication in services, identifying gaps in service delivery and developing new or revised curricula and programs for staff development. Ensures any curriculum developed or implemented at a local level is submitted to the Headquarters Marine Corps curriculum review committee and approved prior to implementation. Develop and implement program marketing plans. Determine short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them. Coordinate with other organizations to accomplish goals. Identify problems, determine accuracy and relevance of information, and use sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives and make recommendations to improve programming. Establish methods and tools to conduct risk assessment and mitigation of risk. Ensure staff practice within scope of program design. Develop and analyze data to be used in preparing analytical and interpretative reports and guides of program operation. Formulate, administer, and monitor the operating budget for the program area. Identify cost centers. Monitor expenses. Develop and ensure implementation of a safety program in accordance with the Base Safety Program.

What you need to qualify

A Master¿s degree from an accredited university or college in social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling, or other appropriate human service and/or mental health professional degree. Must have a current state or U.S. territory license in good standing to practice independently and must provide a photocopy of licensure with application. OR be a registered nurse, or of higher credentialing, with a bachelor¿s degree in nursing and a current unrestricted license in one of the states or U.S. territories. Knowledge of the military organizational mission, lifestyle, and situation that contributes to family stress, problems, and crisis situations. Familiarity with and skill to follow Department of Defense Instructions, Secretary of the Navy Instructions, Marine Corps Orders, federal and state human services laws and procedures that protect children. Skill to develop and maintain contacts to establish effective relationships with military leaders, civilian employees and managers, and professional points of contact in the related field to exchange information, coordinate services, discuss program problems, develop solutions, and resolve client problems Must have at least 2 years of direct experience in child abuse and/or domestic abuse, or maternal and/or child health. Must have at least two years in supervisory role. Must have skills and credentials to supervise employees in the accomplishment of work. NOTE: This position may be eligible for occasional telework, as determined by local level policy. This position is not eligible for full-time remote work.
