Major duties
You will receive training in the application of concepts, principles, practices, and procedures in a variety of financial administration and management duties. You will assist in the formulation of budget and cost estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will assist with assignments that are designed to develop knowledge of financial management programs, policies and methods. You will research guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information and prepare summaries. You will perform specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting in the formulation of budget and cost estimates to support plans, programs and activities. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
