What you'd do

You will serve as a SECRETARY (OA) in the OFFICE OF THE COMMAND SUITE of NSA ANNAPOLIS.

Major duties

You will convey written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience, using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. You will have knowledge of office automation hardware and software systems combined with the typing skills of a fully qualified typist to use computers or related data processing technology to perform routine clerical work. You will keep a calendar and informing others of deadlines and other important dates, and similar clerical support work within an organization. You will understand and interpret technical material, rules, regulations, and instructions as it applies to specific situations. You will perform work such as preparing, receiving, reviewing, and verifying documents, maintaining office records; locating and compiling data or information from files; compiling information for reports. You will demonstrate ability to clearly and effectively articulate, present, and promote varied ideas and issues (to include sensitive or controversial topics) before a wide range of audiences.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Receiving phone calls, greeting visitors, and responding to routine requests for information; 2) Prioritizing requests for information and status inquiries to ensure office goals are met; 3) Maintaining an office calendar, scheduling appointments, and arranging meetings for executives and superiors while avoiding conflicts; 4) Preparing correspondence using correct grammar, spelling, capitalization, format, and punctuation in compliance with established procedures and regulations; and 5) Utilizing appropriate social etiquette and protocol when interacting with high-ranking officials and VIPs. NOTE: This information must be fully supported in your resume to be considered for the position. This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
