Major duties
Serving as a Management Analyst GS-0343-12 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the Active Reponse Branch (ARB) under the Enforcement Operations Division. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Management Analyst for the EOD. In that role, the position provides analysis and administrative support to the Division Chief Typical duties include: Managing and administers numerous and diverse projects involving EOD's current and proposed plans and programs; long range planning studies; internal program review and analysis; project tracking systems; and projects involving the allocation and commitment of TOPS resources. Develops staffing/manning resource guidance for Divisional elements and performs continuous appraisal of the utilization of resources in mission objectives. Devises ways and means to acquire, analyze, and interpret data as it relates to workload projection and forecasting, mission support requirements, training operations, evaluations, and reporting View common definitions of terms found in this announcement: Common Definitions.

Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as: (1) Managing and administering diverse projects involving organizational planning, program review, project tracking, and resource allocation. (2) Advising on programming and budgetary projections, interpreted directives, consolidated budget requests, and monitored budget execution across multiple funding sources. (3) Providing guidance on staffing and resource utilization, maintained position data, automated reporting, and conducted detailed analyses to improve work processes and program effectiveness. (4) Training staff coordinated project assignments, and managed administrative duties including correspondence, policy publication, and records management. All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. Time-in-grade: Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement. Physical Demands: The work is basically sedentary with occasional requirements to lift/move objects (supplies) weighing up to twenty (20) pounds. Work Environment: The work is primarily performed in an environmentally controlled office setting, with frequent interruptions and sometimes stress-inducing time/workload demands.
