THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST, Position Description Number D2513P01 and is part of the 106TH RQW, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.

Major duties

As a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST (GS-0501-9/11), you will plan, coordinate, and perform comprehensive Accounting and Financial Management analysis, decision support and quality reviews, of base level accounting and financial management programs.

What you need to qualify

Military Grades: Enlisted GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Skills in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately; Skills in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting program material; Skills in presenting formal training presentations and briefings; Ability to prepare reports and presentation formats. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS 09: Must have one year equivalent to at least next lower grade level. Must have experience with laws, DOD Directives, finance regulations and financial management and operating procedures relative to the entitlements and allowances related to the payment of military personnel, civilian personnel, vendors, and travelers. Must have experience with military pay and allowances, civilian pay and allowances, vendor payments, and travel entitlements. GS 11: Must have one year equivalent to at least next lower grade level. Must have experience and knowledge of related financial regulations and rulings covering diverse types of pay transactions to typically function as a technical authority for the resolution of an extensive range of issues or problems. Experience and knowledge of the overall DFAS mission and functions, operation, and relationships to other agencies to respond to special inquiries and task organizations for information and responses. Must have experience of multiple financial and accounting systems in order to perform studies related to management improvement, productivity improvement and management controls to analyze and evaluate criteria for the enhancement of all assigned Pay programs (Military Pay, Civilian Pay, Accounts Payable, and Travel Pay). Ability to apply fact-finding and investigative techniques. Must have experience with automated financial systems to participate in a variety of required operations audits and analytical reviews related to pay entitlement determinations.
