QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST
What you'd do
You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST for the NAVAL AIR STATION.
Major duties
You will monitor, record and report Fuels contractor operations to ensure the continued delivery of quality fuel products. You will conduct inspections to investigate the adequacy of the contractor’s equipment and the competency of personnel to guarantee the quality control system is effectively working. You will serve as technical liaison between the contractor and the Principal Control Activity (PCA) ensuring satisfactory performance and timely delivery of products and/or services. You will maintain surveillance over the quality assurance program for petroleum products from the time of receipt of the petroleum product to the time the product is issued (point of sale). You will perform daily inventory procedures in order to evaluate and compare inventory control figures with issuing and receiving totals.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing quality monitoring and inspection of new and repaired electrical ALRE and SE systems/equipment such as fiber optic cables, circuit cards, wire harnesses, position sensors, and power supplies; 2) Utilizing checklists, blueprints, test directives, and/or system technical manuals to inspect materials and components under repair/overhaul; 3) Conducting audits of products and processes to ensure compliance and to detect processing and technical documentation deficiencies; 4) Supporting engineering and quality investigations of equipment found to cause problems in the Fleet; and 5) Providing QA advice and/or recommendations to manufacturing or design engineers regarding inspection and test procedures and alternatives to designs, specifications, materials, and production methods or processes.
