INDUSTRIAL SPECIALIST
What you'd do
You will serve as an INDUSTRIAL SPECIALIST in the FLEET SUPPORT TEAM (FST) LOGISITICS DIVISION of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Major duties
You will conduct studies and analyze vendor facilities and depot capabilities for complex aircraft/production operation to maintain deliverables. You will recognize advanced and emerging industrial manufacturing methods, practices, production equipment, materials, and processes employed in producing systems and related equipment. You will read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, working diagrams and other related documents in order to comprehend the complexity of issues. You will become familiar with a variety of contract types and contractual agreements governing the production of highly specialized equipment. You will perform at the Journey level providing acquisition support for production, procurement, development, repair, management and control of NAVAIR and the Navy Supply System assets.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting studies and analyzing of vendor facilities and depot capabilities for complex aircraft/production operation to maintain deliverables; 2) Recognizing advanced and emerging industrial manufacturing methods, practices, production equipment, materials, and processes employed in producing systems and related equipment; 3) Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, working diagrams and other related documents in order to comprehend the complexity of issues; 4) Familiarity with a variety of contract types and contractual agreements governing the production of highly specialized equipment; and 5) Performing at the Journey level providing acquisition support for production, procurement, development, repair, management and control of NAVAIR and the Navy Supply System assets. This knowledge may have been gained in work such as: Management or supervision of production operations. Industrial planning, industrial engineering, or plant engineering, involving determination of facilities and layout. Process or methods development involving production practices associated with chemical, mechanical, electronic, textile, or food industries. Development of specifications to define product requirements. Sales engineering or buying that required a comprehensive knowledge of production operations. Planning and administering industrial quality control and inspection systems and programs. Comprehensive survey and analysis of industrial operations, organization, capacity, etc. Interpreting and applying contract clauses and government acquisition regulations. Development of plans to determine material requirements and/or schedules for production management.
