INFORMATION RESOURCES MANAGER
What you'd do
You will serve as an Information Resource Manager in the Knowledge Management Special Staff Section of MARITIME OPERATIONS CENTER.
Major duties
You will serve as the Pacific Fleet's Records Manager and Privacy Officer. You will oversee the Pacific Fleet’s Information and Records Management programs, covering both mission-related and administrative records in paper and electronic formats. You will develop guidance for creating, capturing, sharing, reusing, and protecting Privacy Act (PA) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) assets. You will develop strategies, identify new processes, and recommend alternatives to ensure full support for all DoN and DoW Information Management/Privacy Act Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Record Management policies. You will work with the COMPACFLT Command Information Officer (CIO) to integrate records management into the COMPACFLT enterprise architecture.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in Records Management (RM) and Privacy Act (PA) compliance within a federal or military organization; oversee physical and electronic records lifecycles, establishing safeguards for Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and drafting organizational policy; knowledge of governing federal and Navy mandates for records management and privacy.
