What you'd do

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the NAF Resource Accounting Office located on JBSA Lackland AFB. Employee may occasionally be required to assist customers at other JBSA locations. This is a regular part-time category position with guaranteed 20 hours per week. May work up to 40 hrs/week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.

Major duties

The position is responsible for independent performance of assigned management analysis, evaluation of duties that involve in engaging in financial operations and transactions. Works directly with the Resource Management Flight Chief (RFMC), while assisting squadron and installation level leadership, higher headquarters, activity managers, NAF Accounting Office in problem solving techniques relating to management of resources. Recognize, analyze, and refer to the supervisor cases involving question sin the applicability or interpretation of Air Force Instructions, Manuals other regulatory provisions and/or the suitability or effectiveness of established work methods and procedures. Reviews, complies complex data from the balance, income, cash flow statements, actual to budget financial performance and customizes financial reports for presentation to NAF Council composed of activity managers, JBSA squadrons, mission partners, and FSS squadron and wing leadership. Performs a variety of administrative and financial duties, to include complex development of spreadsheets for analytical purposes, validation and investigation of a complexity of accounting procedures. Assists in the review of subsidiary ledgers and base financial statements to ensure a balance condition and investigates anomalies with NAF Accounting personnel. Reviews, complies, analyzes and creates financial management reports to the Shared Service Center and AFPC/Services, and Analyzes system reports to determine program trends, deficiencies, and successes. Prepares squadron Support Agreements, Memorandum of Agreements (MOA),Waivers to Fund Source required to provide crucial funding for MWR programs. Prepares and coordinates electronic staff summary sheets for funding approval. Researches and prepares squadron operating instructions as tasked by the RMFC and ensures distribution to all appropriate activities. Consolidates reports, reviews and prepares recommendations for process improvements in coordination with current instructions, operating instructions and installation processes. Provides directional guidance and supervision in conjunction with RMFC directives. Supports and conducts meetings, cash counts, observations,quality assurance, internal inspections, analysis, correspondence and representation upon designation and direction from supervisor. Assists in monitoring internal control by conducting surprise visits to activities and completes checklist to ensure program compliance. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's) for position: You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: 1. Ability to use a variety of computer software applications in the execution of job related duties, to include word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics and Teams. 2. Skill in written and oral communication to present complex issues and recommendations in a clear and concise manner. 3.
