What you'd do

You will serve as a REALTY OFFICER in the REAL ESTATE BUSINESS LINE of NAVFAC OSF.

Major duties

You will exercise administrative and technical supervision over various occupational series and grade levels within the Real Estate Business Line (RE BL). You will serve as the principal advisor to the NAVFACENGSYSCOM Commanding Officer/Regional Engineer on real estate matters. You will direct the full Real Estate program and provides overall supervision and managerial direction for all Real Estate work performed by and for the command. You will coordinate with leaders, personnel and customers to ensure responsiveness to clients and effective mission accomplishment by the realty staff. You will execute and manage large scale, complex Department of the Navy (DoN) and Marine Corps real estate contracts using innovative and transformational methods, which require subject matter expertise. You will interact effectively and persuasively with peers and all echelons of the chain of command of the shore establishment to support the smooth functioning of the regional real property management program. You will develop and implement internal procedures, and follows up to ensure consistency of interpretation and application of procedural changes by real estate staff.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Employing a deep understanding of real estate principles, practices, markets, and values to a wide scope of real estate activities; Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of Federal, Department of Defense (DoD), and Navy/Marine Corps regulations and policies that govern real estate functions; Using thorough knowledge of DoD and NAVFACENGSYSCOM real estate contracting methods and procedures for all types of real estate transactions; and Applying strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and negotiation skills to deal effectively with officials from both the private and public sectors.
