TRANSPORTATION RESOURCE MANAGER
What you'd do
You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION RESOURCE MANAGER in the BASE SUPPORT VEHICLES/EQUIPMENT/TRANSPORTATION DIVISION of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
Major duties
You will apply appropriate policy and guidance on fleet management, financial management and data management topics and issues (i.e., Federal, DoD, Navy, and NAVFAC transportation and financial policies). You will set policy and operating guidelines for fleet manager, data and funds manager and program analysts to ensure all areas are operating towards consistent goals. You will review and evaluate costs, revenue and budgetary guidance to ensure rates for all transportation services currently provided are developed accurately and reflect controls provided by higher authority. You will develop guides and SOPs for transportation programs where none exists and update existing guidance when needed. You will review and interpret new and established directives, instructions and regulations for potential impact on major program objectives and operating policies. You will analyze financial and management reports regarding operations and evaluate the effect of corrective actions on the overall utilization of manpower and resources. You will manage support personnel engaged in financial/database management, transportation program management, and fleet asset procurement.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing operating plans and budgets to achieve fleet and financial management needs for Transportation operations/services; 2) Leading or managing other personnel in ensuring proper resources are provided and accounted for to meet a command's transportation needs; 3) Applying principles, concepts, and methods of analysis and business management to evaluate all Transportation programs within a command; AND 4) Developing standard operating procedures and guides related to Transportation programs for dissemination across the command.
