What you'd do

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER or SUPERVISORY OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Major duties

You will ensure that all products and services provided to Cost Department Customers are in accordance with established Cost Department policy, procedures and processes. You will provide Cost Department Customers with cost products that are accurate, timely, and consistent and meet Cost Department quality standards. You will coordinate reviews with the Cost Department Director(s) prior to meetings/events where analysis or products represented as department analysis are being presented to high ranking officials. You will contribute to change and growth within the Cost Department by assisting in the research and development of new tools, techniques, processes, and training. You will be familiar with Department of Defense Directives and Department of Defense (DoD) Regulations which describe the current defense acquisition process. You will serve as a supervisor in planning, managing, supervising, and evaluating the organization’s functions, programs, and resources. You will evaluate work performance of subordinates and recommends official performance ratings. You will identify developmental and training needs of employees, providing or arranging for needed development and training.

What you need to qualify

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-4 pay band (GS-13/14) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of the concepts, principles, and methods of cost estimating, modeling, and analysis for air weapons systems/subsystems and acquisition strategies; 2) Providing overall technical direction and leadership to multi-disciplined teams and coordinating functions between various groups to complete cost estimating and analysis products; 3)Communicating cost estimating and analysis end product briefs at various leadership levels.
