MAINTENANCE MECHANIC
What you'd do
You will serve as a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC of NAVAL STATION. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary.
Major duties
You will have knowledge of a variety of trade practices associated with occupants such as industrial equipment mechanic, electrical, pipefitting or plumbing. You will have knowledge of machine and mechanical principle of wastewater pumping and distribution equipment. You will have knowledge of principles and practices of the electrical trade and electrical codes. Able to read blueprints, sketches, specifications, and wiring diagrams. You will have knowledge of electrical material, wire sizes and their load capacities, and other instruments of the trade.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. An example of the screen out element is: I am able to perform some tasks including assisting a journeyman Maintenance Mechanic in performing operational and preventive maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and adjustment of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment located at a wastewater treatment plant. Occasionally, assists in layout and plans for construction work related to the operation of the wastewater treatment plant. Assists a qualified Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, replace or repair interior and exterior electrical systems and equipment. I work under supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who reviews my work for completion.
