What you'd do

You will serve as the Expeditionary Maintenance Depot Director in the EXPEDITIONARY MAINTENANCE DEPOT of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-03 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 through GS-14. This position has a control point equivalent to the GS-13, Step-10 level.

Major duties

You will be responsible for the development of comprehensive planning and programming of the Civil Engineering Support Equipment/Civil Engineering End Items (CESE/CEEI) maintenance program. You will provide leadership and participate in the development of long range planning activities, including the efforts of cross-functional teams with EXWC departments, TYCOMs and subordinate units. You will assist EXWC Program leads with support where required to conduct demonstrations of capability for customer expeditionary commands. You will direct, coordinate, and oversee the Expeditionary Maintenance Depot (EMD) workload.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 to GS-11 or NT-2 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Leading, managing, and/or supervising personnel in providing quality and timely maintenance and support services (i.e., planning, resource management, work induction, execution, and quality assurance) to meet expeditionary warfighter needs; 2) Ensuring material readiness for a Command by finding the best methods and solutions for overhaul and repair of materials; 3) Improving a maintenance program's overall effectiveness by improving complex management processes and systems, including the development of metrics; 4) Leading teams to negotiate effectively with management to persuade them to accept and implement recommendations involving substantial agency resources; and 5) Applying fiscal, contracting, and administrative policies, procedures, and practices to manage and determine the economic feasibility of major acquisitions programs.
