What you'd do

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the MARITIME HEADQUARTERS of BUREAU OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY.

Major duties

You will analyze and recommend cost and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organizations programs and administrative operations. You will perform a variety of fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities. You will perform or advise on work in any of the phrases or systems of budget administration . You will interpret, assess and project potential impact of new/revised Congressional legislation.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading comprehensive internal control assessments ex. (OMB Circular A-123) Evaluating complex organizational workflows to analyze, establish, and monitor key risk indicators. Designing custom corrective action plans to resolve compliance vulnerabilities, integrating risk management frameworks across diverse divisions to safeguard resources, and strategically adapting existing control frameworks to address emerging, unforeseen operational threats. Serving as an advisory subject matter expert, which includes researching, formulating, and delivering authoritative risk assessments, strategic briefings, and official financial management analysis reports directly to executive-level decision-makers to influence command policy, resource stewardship, and operational readiness.
