What you'd do

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TRAFFIC MANGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Head of Transportation, Supply Division, Command Services Department, Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.

Major duties

You will organize and giving briefings to senior leaders and others on a range of issues with an emphasis on transportation functions. You will perform independent analyses to resolve difficult issues and problems, involving processes, work methods, data management or day-to-day operational matters. You will establish, implement and provide leadership in developing and improving systems and procedures resulting in greater efficiency and effectiveness. You will manage the NA VOCEANO motor vehicle pool. Reviews and approves all requests for use and assignment of motor vehicles.

What you need to qualify

GS-12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Experience analyzing and applying management theories and principles specifically to optimize complex transportation functions. Experience interpreting and enforcing laws, regulations, policies, and procedures that govern global transit operations. Experience crafting written materials to deliver impactful training, document formal findings, and propose actionable solutions. Experience fostering productive relationships with customs officials, colleagues, senior leadership, and representatives across NAVOCEANO, COMNAVMETOCCOM, DoD/DoN, and private industry. Experience formulating and executing current and out-year budget submissions strategically aligned with NAVOCEANO's mission and vision.
