HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMNET/CLASSIFICATION)
What you'd do
You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT/CLASSIFICATION) in the Human Capital Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Major duties
You will work with the management to design, develop, implement and track both activity and HR strategic/business plans to recruit, develop, and retain the talent needed to accomplish the assigned mission. You will review past recruitment practices and local labor market conditions to advise on future staffing strategies. You will provide strategic recruitment advisory services (i.e., determining the where, how and means to find talent) to management officials. You will apply a thorough understanding of classification principles and concepts to interpret and apply classification standards/guides to reach sound classification decisions. You will analyze, develop, and administer organizational design and position management to enhance the efficiency and performance of organizations. You will solve human resources problems that cross multiple program lines (e.g., recruitment, classification, compensation, staffing, etc.). You will accomplish other duties as assigned.
What you need to qualify
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Experience providing technical assistance to managers on recruitment and classification matters. 2.) Applying recruitment principles to advise on staffing options and recommending the most effective recruitment methods to attract qualified candidates. 3.) Experience applying position classification standards to evaluate positions and provide basic advisory services on organizational structures and position management. 4.) Demonstrate the ability to research and analyze HR-related issues to recommend solutions and provide effective customer service to managers and employees. GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Experience providing comprehensive management advisory services on complex recruitment and classification matters. 2.) Independently developing and implementing innovative staffing strategies for hard-to-fill positions, making suggestions and offering advice concerning the best-qualified candidates, and providing technical guidance on various hiring authorities. 3.) Experience performing position classification reviews, analyzing and advising on Federal classification of a variety of positions. 4.) Providing excellent customer service and resolving difficult staffing and classification problems by interpreting and applying a wide range of HR laws, regulations, and procedures.
