FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN (MEDICAL EXPENSE AND PERFORMANCE REPORTING SYSTEM)

About the Position: This position is in at Naval Hospital Guam. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation under the Direct-Hire Authority for Certain DoD Personnel. Major duties
Analyze financial, accounting, labor/manpower, workload, budget and other organizational reports for accuracy and discrepancies. Research data that deviates from historical trends or established performance measures to identify errors or anomalies. Review source data on a recurring basis to ensure accurate, timely, and complete reporting and recording. Interpret regulations, directives, and manuals for local implementation of financial reporting systems. Collect and analyze cost, labor/manpower, workload, budget, and other organizational data for development of recurring and special reports. Operate computer equipment and software for creation of reports, charts, and correspondence. Propose adjustments to data collection subsystems for prevention of future errors. Coordinate with computer specialists for troubleshooting of system hardware or software problems.

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience and/or education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: identifying and correcting errors in financial, accounting, budget, manpower, or other related organizational data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
