What you'd do

You will serve as a BL41300 BRANCH HEAD in the Launcher and SE Programs Branch, of the Prototype and Manufacturing Division, within the Prototype Manufacturing and Test Department, of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.

Major duties

You will serve as the Head of the Launcher and SE Programs Branch, leading a multi-disciplinary team of engineering and technical professionals. You will act as the SME for the manufacturing, production, and engineering of ALRE and SE applying advanced engineering principles to ensure the integrity of high-energy and safety-critical systems. You will provide expert engineering consultation and guidance to various NAVAIR program offices and external agencies to resolve complex technical issues. You will guide teams through the entire life cycle of large-scale acquisitions and complex contracting actions. You will manage branch assets, including personnel and facilities, and develop workload forecasts and hiring plans to maintain long-term technical capability. You will perform the full range of supervisory responsibilities, including planning work, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, managing human resources, and handling administrative tasks You will serve as a designated Approving Official (AO) for the Government Purchase Card (PCARD) program and ensures sound fiscal management by monitoring budgets, analyzing costs, and forecasting needs

What you need to qualify

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (NM-03/GS-09-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER performing some or all of the following duties: 1) Leading a multi-disciplinary technical workforce; 2) Applying advanced engineering principles as a subject matter expert for the design, production, or manufacturing of complex systems; 3 Guiding technical teams through the life cycle of large-scale acquisitions; 4) Providing expert engineering consultation to resolve complex technical challenges; and 5) Managing a technical unit's personnel, resources, and strategic planning, including accountability for cost, schedule, and performance.
