GENERAL ENGINEER
What you'd do
You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the ENGINEERING PROCESS CONTROL DIVISION, ENGINEERING and PLANNING DEPARTMENT, of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Major duties
You will develop matrices and reports to determine the effectiveness of training within an assigned technical area in Engineering and Planning Department. You will establish key performance measures for providing feedback and continuously improve training in the Engineering and Planning Department. You will develop and maintain the curriculum for an assigned technical area in the Engineering and Planning Department. You will provide feedback on projected funding needs associated with training within a specific technical area in the Engineering and Planning Department. You will provide support for the recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding process for new hires/transfers in the Engineering and Planning Department.
What you need to qualify
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience coordinating the training and development of personnel within a specific technical Division. Experience managing a comprehensive and technical administrative training program. Experience submitting annual report/self-assessments for a particular technical area. Experience developing and delivering complex training to personnel in a division. Experience working with other agencies and departments outside of the Shipyard to gather information and materials.
