SUPERVISORY NUCLEAR ENGINEER
What you'd do
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY NUCLEAR ENGINEER in the NUCLEAR TEST ENGINEERING DIVISION of PSNS and IMF.
Major duties
You will serve as a Shift Test Supervisor and work assignments associated with nuclear reactor plant testing operations. You will act as an authority in resolving problems of a critical and technically complex nature, and as such must have proven performance and experience as a qualified Shift Test Engineer. You will be in charge of all testing and Shift Test Engineers for the assigned shift and ship when assigned as Shift Test Supervisor. You will be responsible for negotiating agreements where there are conflicting interests and opinions among organizations having valid concerns and among individuals who are experts in the area of nuclear reactor plant testing and evaluation. You may act as the off-yard Test Engineering Division representative for shipyard work accomplished on nuclear vessels outside the shipyard when assigned.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Shift Test Engineer providing leadership and technical direction for nuclear engineering projects in support of nuclear reactor plant overhaul, maintenance, testing and evaluation operations. This position requires a Selective Placement Factor. You must be a qualified Shift Test Engineer.
