What you'd do

You will serve as the PMA-234 Chief Engineer or Assistant Program Manager for Engineering (APME). You will be the top Engineering Leader in the entire PMA, responsible for the overall Engineering and Acquisition support of the development, acquisition, and sustainment of Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) systems for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. You will serve as a Supervisory General Engineer in the Air Platform Systems Engineering Division, PEO(T) Program Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Major duties

You will act as a primary technical representative when coordinating and working with agency technical domains concerning engineering topics, technical issues, and engineering requirements. You will ensure systems engineering efforts support acquisition knowledge points and optimizes the use of Model Based Systems Engineering to support program goals. You will serve as a functional leader, mentor, and supervisor of all employees in the Air Platform Systems Engineering for Tactical Aircraft Branch assigned to the agency. You will serve as a link between agency technical domains and program office teams to ensure consistency of process and program objectives in the engineering departments. You will serve as the technical sign off for Configuration Control Boards and procurement/performance specifications.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13/14) grade level or pay band (NM-04) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Serving as a lead engineer or subject matter expert for assigned systems providing authoritative systems engineering or senior-level technical expertise directly to program management and systems engineering leadership; (2) Leading the development and incorporation of systems engineering work products or technical domain work products to satisfy, compliment, and inform acquisition program management of process milestones, artifacts, strategic planning, risk characterization, and decision making on major weapon systems; (3) Mastering the incorporation and use of various agency resources to support engineering development, planning, and testing of assigned systems; (4) Serving in a lead capacity for engineering, technical, acquisition, and sustainment support personnel and teams; and (5) Acting as a liaison between technical domains, program management teams, and internal/external personnel to ensure consistency of process and program objectives in engineering departments.
