What you'd do
You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Comptroller Department, Accounting Division or Budget Division (Code 610/620) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. SALARY CLARIFICATION: GS-07: $52,680 - $68,485 GS-09: $64,438 - $83,774
Major duties
You will assist with payroll, accounts payable, cost accounting, and general equipment accountability functions. You will identify and investigate accounting discrepancies, assess the need for adjustments, and implement corrective actions. You will perform fiscal, accounting or financial management duties. You will analyze the costs and benefits of alternative financial management methods for programs and administrative operations, determine needed adjustments, and implement corrective actions. You will respond to Shipyard customer inquiries and deliver high-quality customer service. You will interpret budgetary and accounting policies and practices.
What you need to qualify
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and evaluating accounting and budgetary data for funding programs to ensure financial obligations and mission objectives are accomplished. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing automated financial systems to analyze and track the accounting and budgetary data for an organization to assure financial actions are in compliance with governing regulations, laws, and policies.
