Major duties
Serves as working leader of 3 or more employees in accomplishing trades and labor work. Passes instructions received from supervisor, and starts work (e. g. by assigning immediate tasks to be performed by individual members of the group led). Works along with other workers setting the pace performing non-supervisory work . Cleans rooms, corridors, stairways, and other areas. Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, strips, polishes using light and heavy duty powered equipment. Checks work in progress and when finished for compliance with supervisor's instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines. Performs routine maintenance of equipment. Cleans, disinfects and deodorizes toilet facilities. Cleans, dusts assigned areas. Makes beds and changes line. Washes walls, windows, blinds and ceiling fixtures using ladders, scaffolds and safety belt. Plans work by reviewing daily room occupancy schedules and determining sequences, steps, procedures and techniques to be followed in accomplishing the required tasks.

Required is prior work experience that provided the knowledge, skills and ability to perform the duties listed above to include the ability to use and maintain the tools and equipment of the trade, to keep the assigned work area neat and clean. 3. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. 4. Must possess good customer service skills in order to interact with people. 5. Ability to Lead other employees. **Resume MUST clearly reflect the knowledge and experience listed under the minimum qualifications criteria above. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Highly Qualified Criteria: 1. Must have 1 year responsible work experience in the hospitality industry that demonstrated the ability to perform the duties stated above with minimal supervision. Resume MUST clearly reflect the knowledge and experience listed under both the minimum qualification criteria and highly qualified criteria above to be considered Highly Qualified. NOTE: Applicants who meet both minimum qualification criteria and highly qualified criteria will be referred to the selecting official for first consideration.
