What you'd do

You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the FRCSE of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Major duties

You will develop and coordinate Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) documentation, ensuring proper preparation, development and application of Naval Air Systems Command and higher authority policies and procedures. You will coordinate logistics support for all active configurations of assigned systems, utilizing appropriate software models, tools and techniques to assist in optimizing life cycle logistics costs and to achieve cost-wise readiness improvements. You will develop appropriate budget allocation and execution plans to meet program ILS requirements

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: Recent and extensive knowledge with initiating, creating, editing, and finalizing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Technical Directives (TDs) for Naval Aviation Weapons Systems supported. Extensive experience at effectively and diplomatically communicating, both orally and in writing, complex Integrated Logistics Systems (ILS) support requirements in order to convey issues and restrictions of assigned program(s), negotiate change requirements, evaluate contractor inputs and make recommendations to the NAVAIR FST decision authority, engineers, logisticians, contractors and vendors, and personnel at all levels of fleet maintenance and management. Significant experience in creating and presenting briefings to top military commanders and civilian managers as part of problem definition and resolution analyses, providing logistic guidance and direction to decision makers involved with acquisition, development or modifications of aircraft weapons systems, subsystems and associated equipment. Serving as a team lead or senior specialist in directing other logistics personnel in the development of ILS products and projects. You must have significant experience in determining and developing total supportability requirements, conducting reviews of documents, consolidating, and submitting supportability plans for assigned systems. Clearly demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of total system support concepts, including life cycle engineering, life cycle logistics, and cost-wise readiness initiatives.
