About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located in Fort Eustis, VA.

Major duties

Provides program oversight to assure timely operational support, integration and execution of new or changing logistical management concepts. Performs logistics planning for the organization by analyzing the mission, establishing program objectives and developing short and long-range plans for accomplishment of those objectives. Conducts studies, reviews and analyses of brigade-wide logistics posture. Accomplishes on-site reviews of units to determine the adequacy of logistics management and adherence to logistics regulations. Provides staff advice and assistance concerning logistical operations. Assigns work, establishes target dates and priorities, monitors progress of projects and other assignments, provides guidance and assistance in the resolution of technical and policy problems. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one-year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1) Coordinating logistics support with staff and higher headquarters to resolve issues and ensure mission success. 2) Assisting in evaluating brigade logistics by supporting reviews, performance monitoring, or leadership advisement. 3) Managing personnel by directing assignments, guiding staff, overseeing performance, or ensuring compliance with policies.
