Major duties
This position is an Electrical Engineer in the NAWCAD Lakehurst, SE and ALRE Group, Support Equipment Department, PEO (A) and UAS SE Division, H-1/CH-53K/H-60 SE Branch. Incumbent serves as the Technical Expert for all matters related to electrical engineering concerning the design, development and analysis of aircraft equipment and components of the Naval Air Warfare Center.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying advanced engineering theories and principles related to the design, development, and life-cycle analysis of Naval Aviation Support Equipment; 2) Ability to serve as a lead engineer and senior technical advisor, making critical decisions and resolving novel problems for aircraft and shipboard electrical systems; 3) Skilled in project management, including planning, specification writing, and contract liaison, while also mentoring junior staff; 4) Ability to represent an organization at high-level conferences and influence stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of engineering programs.
