What you'd do

YOU WILL SERVE AS A SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER IN THE NAVAL TEST WING ATLANTIC INTEGRATED FLIGHT T AND E DEPARTMENT, ROTARY WING T AND E DIVISION, RW THREAT DEFENSE BRANCH OF NAVTESTWINGLANT NWCF. Salary Range $121,785 - $187,093 / Per Year. Please Note: If selected, your salary will be set according to the established control points of this position which is equivalent to GS-13, Step 10, $121,785 - $158, 322.

Major duties

You will be lead on T and E acquisition coordination, planning, resource utilization, and defining the design of experiments and tests using an integrated developmental /operational testing concept. You will be responsible for the design, coordination, and execution of test and experiments. You will be the liaison with NAVAIRSYSCOM and other DoD activities, operational squadrons, and original equipment manufacturers. You will provide technical direction and guidance for the planning, designing, directing, coordinating, conducting, and reporting of all Test and Evaluation work assigned. You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. You will give advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters within the Test and Evaluation field You will identify critical program test elements, translate engineering test requirements into test plans, conduct tests, provide engineering analysis of test data, and report test results You will review all test plans, reports, and official correspondence for projects originating within the incumbent’s branch or as agreed to with Division Head. You will ensure the application of systems principles, the efficient use of test resources, and completion of required technical tasks, technical accuracy, and adherence to established policies. You will apply workload management oversight to ensure timely completion of assignments and documents.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09/12 grade level or pay band NM-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advanced knowledge and experience in the theory and methods of military systems test and evaluation including test process and test product development; 2) Professional competence in the flight test and evaluation discipline sufficient to provide technical direction to their assigned workforce; 3) Should possess initiative, originality, and sound technical judgment in order to perform these duties successfully; 4) Ability to present ideas clearly to engineers and test pilots, and to other personnel, including those at higher levels outside of NAWC; 5) Skill in forecasting previously unforeseen requirements, interrelationships and military effects of systems; 6) Ability to coordinate functions between various groups to accomplish intended goals.
