Major duties
Receive inquiries and provides information about the services available through the DPW and the DPW procedures for requesting and obtaining them. Make appointments with customers for preventive maintenance and Work Order visits to minimize disruption of normal operations and reduce inconvenience to the customer. Advise customers of work requirements, which may negatively impact them (e.g., planned utility outages, equipment shutdowns, traffic detours, work delays, or other schedule changes, etc.) Collect, analyze and compile data to support the Maintenance and Repair of OMA facilities Coordinate, prepare layouts, detailed cost estimates, step-by-step plans, bill of materials, specifications involving civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical principles. Interpret, select, adapt and apply guidelines, precedents, engineering principles and practices, accepted trades practices, time/cost constraints, materials availability, national construction codes and standards, etc. in development of projects.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as conducting inspections to determine conditions of buildings and structures; determining work priorities based on needs, cost, and feasibility; providing customer service by assisting customers with policies and procedures; and generating project scope of work, plans and estimates utilizing various computerized systems. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-10).
