TECHNICIAN
What you'd do
You will serve as a TECHNICIAN (EOD Test Director) in the Warfighter Defense/System Integration Department (W), Battle Lab (W4), EOD Technology Assessment Branch (W43) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high-grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $158,322).
Major duties
You will develop test plans and procedures to evaluate EOD tools and technologies, lead field/range testing, collect and analyzes test data, and provide reports and briefings to convey test results. You will work with other test directors within the command and outside agencies during the project planning phase to ensure that explosive tests are designed for optimum data collection and documentation. You will stay abreast of current explosive testing methodology and technology to ensure industry standards or most cost efficient methods are being utilized.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 grade equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: utilizing technical engineering methods and procedures to lead demonstrations, assessments, testing and evaluations of EOD equipment for the fulfillment of joint service mission requirements.
