Major duties

You will develop and review program technical and mission documentation, provide authoritative input and advice on all engineering and technical issues and ensure engineering requirements are met. You will maintain knowledge of current and future IT capabilities, problems and demands upon associated IT system(s) and provide overall technical planning for development, engineering, and evaluation of programs You will participate in the development and design of new systems by assessing if available or imminent technology is sufficient to meet requirements or system concepts are applicable to operational requirements. You will provide authoritative systems engineering or senior-level engineering technical domain input and advice to systems engineering and to the program management leadership. You will support and/or provide technical direction, oversight and guidance to the Technical Director and other engineers, oversee the systems engineering and acquisition products produced, and processes implemented. You will develop and administer the engineering change process and associated configuration management and recommend design approaches and technical solutions for the systems in the assigned program’s portfolio.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading migration, architectures, interfaces; and managing the System of Systems (SoS) development, integration, and performance of assigned program office IT systems capabilities.
