ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST
What you'd do
You will serve as the Comptroller Funds Management Lead in the Funds Management Branch, Budget Division of NAVSURFWARCENDLD. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.
Major duties
You will serve as Lead Financial Management Analyst reporting directly to the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Dahlgren Division Budget Officer. You will support NSWC Dahlgren Comptroller and Budget Officer in planning, analyzing, and evaluating the Division's funding metrics and financial program effectiveness. You will develop and recommend financial strategies and improved processes to achieve maximum efficiency. You will communicate with Department Financial Community regularly to ensure consistency among funding-related topics. You will serve as point of contact for trouble-shooting system issues, data discrepancies or inconsistent business processes. You will drive team performance by setting clear milestones and removing obstacles to ensure operational success. You will deliver structured training to standardize team knowledge and promote operational consistency.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning and managing daily administrative functions to include maintaining systems of record (i.e., IBPES, ERP); reconciling, validating, and tracking funding documents; identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial data; interpreting policy and providing guidance to others.
