What you'd do

Major duties
You will analyze, plan and direct the execution of long-term programs for operational support, including installation and test activities of select alternations for SSBNs and shore based facilities. You will support contracting activities for industry and government work performers. You will develop, analyze and prepare budgets for cognizant equipment and sustainment activities. You will perform detailed planning for test execution, installation and sustainment to meet program requirements and ensure work performers meet the requirements. You will conduct studies pertaining to the reliability, maintainability and long-range support of existing components and proposed upgrades.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer providing programmatic knowledge and sound judgement to solve complex problems, comply with analytical operational and installation and test requirements for weapons systems (e.g. TRIDENT missile, re-entry systems, guidance systems, shipboard subsystems).
