What you'd do

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Heritage Club on Robins AFB, GA. Flexible employees have no guaranteed hours but may work up to 40 hours per week. This position does not offer benefits. Must be available to work irregular hours to include weekends and Holidays. Must complete a Food Handling and DRAM shop training.

Major duties

Operates cash register, rings up the sale, receives money and makes change, processes credit card sale, or charges to member's account. At the end of each tour of duty clears the cash register, and turns over cash, cash receipts, cash register tapes, checks, credit card receipts, club tokens, coupons, and other supporting documents as instructed. May be required to prepare bank deposits and ensure daily deposit is completed in a timely manner. May prepare cash reports and notify supervisor of any suspected irregularities. Cashes checks and accepts payment for dues and charges to accounts. Accepts and processes new membership applications. Conducts daily inventories. Maintains area in clean and orderly condition. In a Food Activity: Performs check-out duties such as taking orders, ringing up food, beverages, and merchandise by individual item; delivering prepared food items to clients, totaling sales, processing credit card sales, receiving money and making change. May perform related food-service duties such as setting tables, assisting in setting up the serving line, replenishing beverage dispensers, ensuring kitchen staff is advised when buffet line needs replenishment and dining area clean-up. Performs other related duties as assigned. In a Bingo Activity: Performs check-out such as selling bingo cards and session packs and other associated session and special game cards to include Quick Shot Cards and Electronic Cards. May be required to performs other duties such as bingo calling and verifying winners. May be required to take/deliver food orders to participants. May be required to take payment and make change. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience in responsible clerical or office work which includes demonstrated ability to perform common arithmetic problems and making change when receiving payments from customers. Experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, or other processing of cash items when this includes (1) direct handling of cash items, and (2) use of cash accountability control methods. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Highly encouraged to have experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit or other processing of cash items such as direct cash handling and cash accountability control methods. Available to work irregular hours to include weekends and Holidays. Satisfactory completion of Food Handling training requirements and DRAM Shop Theory training.
