As a Management and Program Analyst,0343-13, you will be responsible for: Develops procedures and systems for assessing the effectiveness of programs and/or management processes. Evaluates and advises on organization structures, methods, and procedures. Analyzes and evaluates on a quantitative and qualitative basis the effectiveness of line program operations in meeting established goals and objectives. Analyzes management information requirements. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with tact, specificity, and clarity.

What you need to qualify

Minimum Qualification Requirements: You may meet the minimum qualifications for the GS-13, if you possess the specialize experience. Specialized Experience for the GS-13 One year of experience in either federal or non-federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-12 performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments: 1. Experience in identifying and developing ways to resolve problems or cope with issues which directly affect the accomplishment of principal program goals and objectives. 2. Experience in working with all levels of leadership within the Department, other federal agencies, and groups external to the agency. 3. Experience in coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and working with team members, to gather data, perform research, conduct analysis, and improve internal operating procedures. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs). You do not need to provide separate narrative responses to these KSAs, as they will be measured by your responses to the occupational questionnaire (you may preview the occupational questionnaire by clicking the link at the end of the Evaluations section of this vacancy announcement). 1. Skill to plan, schedule, and conduct projects and studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve work operations in a program or support setting. 2. Knowledge of pertinent laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the program and related resources in the area being studied. 3. Skill in adapting analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to measure and or improve program effectiveness and or organizational productivity. 4. Knowledge of the major issues, program goals, and objectives, work processes, and administrative operations of the organization. 5. Ability to use judgment and discretion in interpreting and revising existing policy.
