AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This position is located in the Egress Systems/Weapons Release Shop of the Aerospace Section, Field Maintenance Branch, Aircraft Maintenance Division of an ANG flying unit with a reconnaissance mission. DEFINITION OF AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION: Area 1 = Officer and Enlisted members of the Louisiana National Guard.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience or training which demonstrates the applicant's ability to repair malfunctions of ordnance equipment and components; ability to use sketches, electrical diagrams, technical specifications and engineering drawings; experience which demonstrates skill in the use of test equipment to make electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic checks. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least Eighteen (18) months of experience or training in planning and layout of repair sequence and ability to complete modification, repair, and installation of ordnance systems; experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions and determining remedies where complex relationships exist; experience in hand tools and the use of a variety of measuring and test equipment; experience in interpreting technical directions, blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer's specifications. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES: 1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance. 2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. 3.
