Job Description
This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Office of Currency Manufacturing DCF. As an Assistant Pressperson, you will performs a wide variety of tasks associated with Printing Technologies in support of the United States Currency Program (USCP) and may be assigned to various sections to assist with the preparation, operation, or final product of production equipment.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. You must meet the screen-out element "Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision", normally addressed at the beginning of the online questions. To meet the screen-out element, applicants must have: experience working in a printing plant environment under the close direction of a supervisor. In addition, you must also obtain an average score of two (2) for the following elements for this position as addressed through the online question in order to be considered minimally qualified. Standing, up to 8 hours Kneeling, up to 3 hours Repeated bending, up to 8 hours Climbing Both legs required Ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously Ability to distinguish basic colors Operation of motorized pallet or jack/lift Ability to continually stoop, bend upper body, and lift items that weigh up to 50 pounds over a long duration time AND You must show in your experience in online application that you possess the knowledge, skill and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
