Job Description

Our mission is to enforce the law and defend the interests of the United States, provide Federal leadership in preventing and controlling crime, seek just punishment for those guilty of unlawful behavior, and to administer and enforce the Nation's laws to ensure fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans. This position is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree, be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction), and have at least 3 years post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience. United States citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to function effectively with minimal guidance in a highly demanding environment. Successful applicants must demonstrate superior research and writing skills, including identifying issues, developing arguments, and presenting counterarguments. Applicants must be comfortable processing, utilizing, and comprehending large electronically stored discovery records. Successful applicants must demonstrate the ability to make critical decisions that will successfully position the United States for an optimal outcome in litigation. Applicants should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and professionally with the court, opposing counsel, and client agencies. Applicants must possess a keen attention to detail and accuracy to present issues, arguments, and evidence with a high degree of professionalism. Successful candidates should also possess computer literacy skills, including experience in automated research, electronic court filing, electronic e-mail, and word processing systems and software. You must meet all qualification requirements upon the closing date of this announcement.
