About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the 355th Force Support Squadron at the Auto Skills Center at Davis Monthan AFB. This position is Regular Part Time, meaning it guarantee's 20 hours with the eligibility of working up to 40. This position includes benefits like Health and Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, 401k, and Retirement.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have responsible administrative, professional, technical or other work which has provided a general knowledge of management principles and progressively responsible experience in one or more functions managed by an automotive supervisor. Must have specialized experience in the automotive skills center or an automotive service center with supervision over the various phases of automotive mechanics to include diagnostics and repair which provided an in-depth knowledge of automotive, service procedures, rules and regulations. Knowledge of automotive mechanics which includes the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair/correct problems. Must be able to use a wide variety of automotive tools, read and interpret parts manuals, schematics and manufacturer's repair manuals. Certification by the National Institute of Automotive Service for Excellence or a 2-year community/technical college certification in the automotive field is highly desirable. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Must be able to frequently lift, and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds and occasionally, objects weighing over 50 pounds. This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. This position requires a drug test.
