Job Description
The Compliance - Healthcare Risk Management Program Manager oversees risk management within ICE/IHSC, focusing on preventing, reducing, and controlling organizational loss while improving healthcare and safety for detainees. Responsibilities include incident reporting, root cause analysis, and enhancing patient safety. Requires healthcare expertise, advanced education, and certification in risk management. This position is only open to USPHS officers and Call to Active Duty (CAD) candidates.
Qualifications
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time [6-8 Hours]. Performing repeated bending motion. Average manual dexterity for computer operation. Phone use for extended periods of time. If licensed clinician or administration specialist, will be tasked to TDY within the department for a minimum of 30 days annually to assist with field operations. May require physical exertion such as lifting objects greater than 30 pounds. Required to perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling. Must have the ability to assist sick, injured or aging detainees or staff exiting the building (may require lifting, dragging, wheeling or carrying someone who weighs significantly more than self). The work may necessitate some physical characteristics that will be required when responding to an emergency situation, such as running short distance, prolonged sitting or standing (6-8 hours) and working in an austere environment. Must perform the duties of job in a stressful and often austere environment without physical limitations. Must be able to travel (up to 30%).
