Job Description
This position is located at CYS Base, Stuttgart, Germany. Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee: First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child: 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Available to MWR CYS Regular and FLEX (working a minimum of 15 hours). Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
Qualifications
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. A bachelor's degree or higher that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in Special education Early childhood education Child or Adolescent development Elementary or Secondary education Youth development Or other closely related field such as psychology/sociology or social work (must include 24 semester hours in child/adolescent psychology, sociology of the family, developmental psychology, social work with child/family emphasis) OR 2. Completion of 24 semester hours in coursework as indicated above, plus additional related coursework or experience that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of a 4-year course of study. In addition to meeting one of the education requirements above, all candidates must possess: Progressive experience working in a group setting with children and/or youth which included performing duties directly related to the position to be filled. This experience must include at least one year equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level. Candidates must also possess at least two years of experience monitoring the implementation, progress, and outcomes of child and/or youth individual education plans within a large group setting, such as a school or comprehensive child and youth program. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": A bachelor's degree (or higher) in Special Education. Two or more years of experience/skills developing supports that accommodate children with special needs and children with challenging behaviors. Experience in implementing the Army CYS Operational Guidance for Behavior Support. Two or more years of experience coaching and mentoring other adults. Experience developing training presentations and delivering training to large audiences. Experience advising or advocating for families of children with special needs. The experience and knowledge listed above MUST be reflected on your resume to be considered a highly preferred/Best Qualified candidate.
