THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a DEPUTY SURFACE MAINTENANCE MANAGER, Position Description Number PDD1250000 and is part of the WY Surface Maintenance Manager, Wyoming Army National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.

Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming National Guard. Area 4: All current Drill Status Airmen and M-day soldiers of the Wyoming National Guard. A Demotion Statement of Understanding is located at: https://go.usa.gov/xEeWG DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Work involves managing, supervising, leading, or performing administrative work that involves: a combination of work characteristic of two or more series in the Equipment, Facilities, and Services Group where no one type of work is series controlling; or work classified in this group for which no other series has been established. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must possess experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a knowledge of equipment maintenance work, or skill in reading engineering drawings and specifications, using test instruments, making computations, and keeping records. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least 1-year specialized experience to at least the next lower grade that provided experience in applying principles, concepts, and methods of equipment, facility, or service operations sufficient in planning assignments. Experience using well-established occupational methods and techniques to determine facility, grounds, equipment overhaul, maintenance, restoration, repair needs, etc. Experience in determination of resource needs, allocation of resources, and budgeting/funding needs. Experience in human resources management policy matters affecting the entire organization, with personnel actions affecting key employees to include experience coordinating work forces and resources and negotiating with management or clients concerning problems. SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; and experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT: Continued employment in this position is subject to successfully obtaining and maintaining a Level 2 DoD Financial Management Certification within two years from entry on duty to the position unless the incumbent is already in a position that requires Level 2 certifications in which case he/she must complete the certification in the original 2-year period. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement. DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must possess a valid driver's license.
